Platinum And Diamonds At the Red Carpet Event
It's not a secret that diamonds never go out of fashion especially if it comes to celebrities. But this is actually a setting that can vary and this time it seems platinum is an ideal mounting for diamonds.
As you know platinum is white and it doesn't fade with time that is why it's a perfect setting for diamonds to enhance their brilliance and for colored gems to emphasize their unique shades. Two days ago lots of breathtaking platinum jewelry was showcased during the 63rd Primetime Emmy Award. Well, and the Red Carpet is the very place where there are diamonds shining in their perfect way, so you could have a chance to contemplate a stunning combination of platinum and diamonds during the event.
Neil Lane created a set of jewelry for Gwyneth Paltrow: platinum earrings with black & white diamonds of 7 carats in total, platinum ring with 5-carat diamond and 2 platinum bracelets with diamonds scattered over them (100 carats in total). A young and prominent actress Nina Dobrev also chose Neil Lane jewelry to complement her gorgeous red dress. She wore platinum & diamond stud earrings and amazing diamond necklace.
Tiffany & Co offered their platinum and diamond drop earrings coupled with platinum rings to Minka Kelly.
Chopard, known for their luxury jewels, designed jewelry for Guiliana Rancic, Ellie Kemper, Amber Riley and Mireille Enos. A known news personality and a host of multitude of shows Guiliana Rancic was lovely in her multiple platinum and diamond bracelets and earrings. By the way, Mireille wore multiple platinum and diamond bracelets also, but she decided to combine them with platinum and rose-cut 14-carat diamond ring. Comedian Ellie Kemper looked amazing rather than funny in her rhinestone-encrusted dress and 8-carat diamond stud earrings. And actress Amber Riley was seen wearing a set of platinum and diamond earring and 13-carat ring.
So with only few examples of fine jewelry it is still vivid that diamonds do hit the Red Carpet events but this time they were brilliantly set in platinum, just for a change.
