Diamonds on The Golden Globe Award

January 13 was an important day for big movie stars. The Golden Globe Award, which is also nick-named a repetition for the Academy Awards, opened the parade of Award ceremonies this year. While celebrities were eager of getting the main prize, their fans were anxious about celebrities' magnificent apparels. But where there is luxurious clothing there should no less deluxe accessories. Diamonds is the perfect match for such an event. To complement their look, famous Hollywood actresses concentrated on earrings this year.

The Red Carpet is the place to show off only hot trends, so this time drop earring and studs were sparkling on their elegant wearers. No more hoops! But the art of fashion lays in combination of glitz and modesty. On the one hand, drop earrings should frame the face adding some charm, but on the other they shouldn't be the main sparklers and eye-catchers, instead it should be the lady wearing them. Now let's see how the stars (a few of many) managed to create a harmonious ensemble.

Jennifer Lawrence, who has happy to be presented with the Gold Globe for Best Actress in a comedy or musical, accessorised her stunning red dress with a pair of round-cut 8-carat drop earrings.

Anne Hathaway even though played the role in 'Les Miserables' were far from ones in her Chanel dress coupled with Chanel jewelry. Studs were her choice and they indeed add some charm to her cropped hair.

Jennifer Lopez definitely has passion for deluxe jewelry. Last year her jewelry was priced at $5 million! This year a movie star & singer wore jaw-dropping drop earrings to complement her sheer dress. No necklace this time but a couple of big diamond rings.

One of the most heavyweight earrings seen on the Red Carpet were on Julianne Moore. These were yellow gold drop earrings mounted with diamonds of various shapes: oval cut (7.98ct), pear shaped (12.56ct) and pave (1.36ct) diamonds.

Deborra-Lee Furness accompanied by her starlet husband Hugh Jackman were shining diamonds, too. She opted for rose gold setting both for her earrings and cuffs. The Australian actress had long colorless diamond earrings that add sparkle to her strict black dress.

Another pair of studs were dazzling on Sienna Miller. Fresh and lively, this time Sienna opted for Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.
