Time Passes But Pink Diamonds are Forever

Engagement rings of celebrities can hardly avoid publicity as their wearers are always in the center of attention, either on TV or on magazine and newspaper pages. Paparazzi are usually hunting for sensations so that it's difficult to conceal the events of private life including the engagements. But this couple even didn't try to hide their relationships from public, they were in the sight of all the people, including stunning pink diamond engagement ring.

Who else but Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck we are speaking about. Though it was long ago and the engagement ceremony failed to turn into a happy marriage, but Jennifer Lopez's ring is still talked about. It was 6-carat radiant cut pink diamond ring that at that time (in November 2002) cost about $1.2 million to an actor. As you know, colored diamonds are very rare, e.g. only 1 out of 10,000 carats of mined diamonds is graded as fancy colored diamond, and pinks are even rarer to be found. That is why the price starts growing for exclusive stones which, like Jennifer Lopez's ring, are of investment quality. But the price also depends on the demand, and the demand for pink diamonds is growing dramatically. It mostly happens due to trends dictated by celebrities, the same as with J.Lo and Ben Affleck.
